The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life whenever possible. Any mothers struggling with breastfeeding are encouraged to use resources that will help them. Breastfeeding is the best way to start a child on a healthy path.

Morbidity and mortality rates in this state are very high. While breast feeding may be a personal choice for the mother, it is not for the baby. Babies need and deserve moms own milk whenever possible and banked human milk when it is not. Did you know that Ohio has a milk bank that mothers can donate to?
