Bitzer Park
Bitzer Park is located on the southeast corner of the square of North Canton next to the YMCA Community Building. Bitzer Park provides a beautiful park setting in the center of town to relax and is home to a handsome statue of “Boss” Hoover. Charlie Strausser Memorial Park Strausser Park is located in the Sturbridge Village allotment off of New England Dr. SE at 225 Abbeyshire SE. Strausser Park offers a playground, one basketball court, two tennis courts, picnic tables, and restroom facilities, as well as a naturalized detention basin. Dogwood Park Dogwood Park is located at 241 – 7th Street NE. Immediately adjacent to this park area is the North Canton Skate Park and the Dogwood Swimming Pool. Dogwood Park offers a playground area, picnic tables scattered throughout the park, one picnic pavilion, four baseball fields, one basketball court, two horseshoe pits, a rental hall, restroom facilities, and wooded areas for walking and exploring. Eastwoods Park Eastwoods Park, located in the neighborhood of Eastwoods at 1290 Westview Cir. SE. Eastwoods Park offers a picnic pavilion, a playground area, one basketball court, two tennis courts, restroom facilities, and a stream. Hoover Community Recreation Complex The Hoover Community Recreation Complex is the City’s newest and most unique area. The Hoover Preserve sits at 1325 E. Maple Street, across from College Estates. This is a place where you can lose yourself in nature with an ever expanding hiking/biking trail that winds through nature, connecting to Washington Square Shopping Plaza and Walsh University, and planned to connect to North Canton Hoover High School and Dogwood Park in the future. This area is also home to the North Canton Little League Ball Fields, comprising currently of 9 fields. North Canton Skateboard Park The City of North Canton maintains a 14,000 sq. ft. Skateboard Park which is located between Dogwood Park and directly behind the North Canton City EMS building. The park features multiple ramps, ramps with platforms and two grind rails. It is open during regular park hours and available year round, weather permitting. Adjacent to the park is a basketball court that adds to the park’s features. Get out and enjoy the Skate Park and Basketball Court. And, during the summer months, enjoy the City Pool! Upper Glenwood Park Upper Glenwood Park is located off of S. Main at 227 Glenwood St. SE. Upper Glenwood Park offers playground equipment and two tennis courts for public use. Price Park Price Park is located at 1000 W. Maple Street and is the City’s most active park, comprising 18.5 acres. This park has much to offer to the public, including the fishing (catch and release) and duck pond, gazebo, three covered shelters, a large playground, a one mile walking path, one baseball field, two tennis court, one basketball court, one sand volleyball court, and restroom facilities, as well as picturesque green space. Immediately across the street is the Civic Center. Schneider Valley Park Schneider Valley Park (also known as Clearmount Park) is located at 1346 Clearmount Ave. SE. Schneider Valley Park offers a playground, stream, woodlands, a basketball court, and a picnic table. West Park West Park is located at 300 West Park Dr. West Park features open space, a basketball court, and playground equipment. Witwer Park Witwer Park is located at 301 Harmon Street SW, across from the North Canton Middle School. Witwer Park is home to a shelter donated by the Lion’s Club of North Canton, as well as a playground, one baseball field, three tennis court, one sand volleyball court, one basketball court, one picnic pavilion, and restroom facilities.
