Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude
Start your day with a smile.
Author and inspirational speaker Zig Ziglar noted that a study by Harvard University "revealed that 85% of the reasons for success, promotions, accomplishments, etc. were because of our attitude and only 15% because of our technical expertise." Ziglar encouraged readers to "build the proper attitude foundation." William James, father of American psychology, stated that the most important discovery of our time is that "we can alter our lives by altering our attitudes."
What is your attitude? Do you awake each morning with a smile and an attitude of gratitude? Do you begin each day expecting the best? Doing this can set a positive tone for your whole day. As you begin a new project, your attitude will be the dominant factor in its success. In short, your attitude is more important than your aptitude.
Take charge of your attitude! You can change it. You can make it better. You can be more positive. Build your foundation of positive attitude. Many times the difference between success and failure is a matter of attitude.
A positive attitude begins with an attitude of gratitude. We can build this attitude by making a long list of things we are thankful for...family, friends, home, health, our purposeful work, co-workers, and more. This exercise is a great way to start your day.
When challenges come... and they will... don't forget to be grateful for them as well. Without challenges, you cannot grow. Meeting your challenges with a positive attitude will prepare you to address them successfully.
Life is about choices. Choose to make each day positive and productive. Begin each day with a positive mental attitude, an attitude of gratitude and ... positive expectations of success and accomplishment. You will rise to a new altitude of success, productivity and happiness.
Be positive and be well!
