Holiday Cranberry Sauce
The perfect complement to turkey
Bring orange juice, ginger, zest and cinnamon to a boil.
Rinse cranberries and add to boiling liquid.
Reduce heat to medium and cook uncovered 10 minutes.
Add pineapple and honey.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Dr. Aaron says: this recipe makes a delicious cranberry sauce that puts the stuff in the can to shame. When it's cooking the house smells like the holidays. Feel free to experiment with adding other berries, apples or other fruits to the mix (the more fruit you add the less honey needed to sweeten it). I make it a little different every time and it's always good.
