Happy & Healthy New Year. Be Ye Renewed...
What's in your 2013?
“This is the new year, the new you. You can pass through another year, coasting on cruise control. Or you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before, & make 2013 the year that you elevate from where you are & soar high. Make it happen!”
― Pablo
The New Year is a time of renewal... time to set our plans for 2013, including the renewal of our body, mind and spirit. How will you plan to renew your health? Will you plan to eat better, take a few more nutritional supplements, exercise more regularly? What will you do to renew your mind and spirit? Will you take some yoga classes or perform relaxation exercises? Will you take time regularly for prayer or meditation? Over the coming year, we will offer you information on diet, exercise, stress reduction, etc. Use this information to help you reach your goals for health and wellness.
Spend a few hours at the beginning of this new year to write down what you want to accomplish, where you want to go and what you want to do in 2013. Include health goals; we can help you reach them.
Think back over the past twelve months and consider your accomplishments and your challenges. Think about what you would like to have happen in your life during this new year. This goal-setting time is an affirmation that you are interested in living life fully. You can choose your future. Goals give us direction and help us prepare ourselves for opportunities. Specific goals put powerful forces into play-- on conscious and subconscious levels. Goals can change of course, and you can leave plenty of room to "let the spirit move you" and to be spontaneous... but you need to have goals in your life to give yourself clear direction.
So, what are your goals for 2013? What good things would you like to attract into your life? How would you like to grow personally? What books would you like to read? Who would you like to meet? What are the things you would most like to achieve? Dream big, but include big and small goals on your list? Where would you like to travel? What would you like to do with your family and friends? What would you like to have happen with your family life? What are the goals for your life's work? How would you like to "give back" and help others more?
Write down your goals. Take some time with pen and paper and write it all down. There is power in writing your goals. The list of things you want to achieve, to learn, to give, to do and to experience is an affirmation of you and your life. You have the ability to choose your life.
We all make mistakes; we fail to achieve some goals we set for ourselves; and we get knocked down from time to time... but we can all begin again for the new year. Put the mistakes behind you, forgive yourself and others and begin anew in 2013. We never really fail unless we fail to get back up and "go for it" again.
Set some time aside, decide on your goals for 2013 and write them all down. There are two basic approaches that people follow to achieve their goals. The first approach is more simple... you write your goals down and then just let them go... allowing the decisions you have made to work subconsciously during the coming year. The important thing is that you have decided on your goals and written them down. The second approach is more active... and includes reading your goals regularly to maintain mental focus on the things you most want to achieve. Some people add action steps to achieve their goals and may also regularly track their progress. Some like to revise their goals and action steps periodically throughout the year. Use the approach that "feels right" to you... and that achieves the results you are looking for.
May your goals all be realized and may your New Year be one of love, health, success and happiness. Enjoy the New Year verse below.
"A happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year."
